MALDIVES - Indian Oceans Leading Beach Destination - World Travel Awards 2015

Zeldiva luxury

Maldives with its fine white sandy beaches has been awarded as the Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination in the 2015 World Travel Awards which was held at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare.

Maldives is renowned for its white beaches all throughout the country. No beach is any shade darker than the colour we call “white”. Most of the beaches of these uniquely formed islands are fine sand beaches though you might come across coral pieces washed on the shore. This should come as no surprise as the Maldive islands are built on coral beds and have delicate eco-systems and a fragile environment.

The beaches of the Maldives have powdery white sand and clear turquoise lagoons and this fact brings many visitors to these beaches. Maldives is a one island one resort destination. One island is one resort.

Maldives consists of 1,192 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls, along the north-south direction, spread over roughly 90,000 square kilometers, making this one of the worlds most dispersed countries.

Maldives is the lowest country in the world, with maximum and average natural ground levels of only 2.4 meters and 1.5 meters above sea level, respectively.

The enchanting beauty of these Maldivian beaches will always be a memorable experience. Tan, frolic and run under the sunny blue skies during the day and take a relaxing walk or have your party under the full moon sky. The white sandy beaches of the Maldives are breathtaking under the full moon sky. It is romantic, ethereal, silvery and full of enchantment. The different layers of the beaches of Fuvahmulah are awe-inspiring and just another story. Fuvahmulah lies right across the equator and is the only one island one atoll existing in the Maldives.

There may be wider and longer beaches all over the world but you cannot beat the Maldives for its fineness of the sand, the clear color of white, the privacy and access from your accommodation on any resort island. The Maldives beaches are the perfect choice for your tropical holiday.
